Investments: Apple is investing in the production of LCD’s
By Detector | 14 December 2010
Toshiba is building a new factory for production of LCD screens worth 1.2 billion U.S. dollars, but apparently Toshiba is not alone in that investment.
In fact, according to Japanese newspaper Nikkei, reported by Reuters, Apple would invest in building the factory which should produce a small LCD screens for future iPhones and iPads and other portable devices (any NEW Apple gadget). When the factory starts to operate with a full capacity it is expected to produce about a month 8.5 million LCD panels.
For now, no official comment from Apple or Toshiba related to these articles. Obviously it is good investment as Apple is involved.
