New MacMini, fresh and super slim
Mac Mini is completely redesigned. It’s been a long time from last update but the new little box comes with all bells and whistles for regular, HTPC and office users.
The redesigned Mac Mini has thinner aluminum enclosure, super fast nVidia graphics, SD card slot in a back and HDMI + mini display port so you can connect with any monitor, TV or Projector.
The mini have increased the footprint of the device and now is 7.7 inches square (19.7.cm) at 1.4″ tall (3.6cm), and has an integrated power supply which eliminates the need for external power adapters. Memory expansion slots are removed beneath a removable panel, resulting in an overall system volume reduction of 20 %. As a comparison, the previous generation of Mac Mini was 2 inches tall (5 cm) and 6.5″ square (16.5 cm).
The new Mini connection possibilities are impressive for most users: AirPort Extreme 802.11n wireless networking, Bluetooth 2.1+ED, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0 ports, SD card slot, FireWire 800 port, HDMI port, Mini DisplayPort and headphone/mic in and out.
The HDMI connection and Nvidia GeForce 320m graphics will make it possible to output content to high-definition televisions or projectors, making this product adorable for many HTPC fans.
According to Apple, it is also energy efficient and affordable, and prices start at $699 US for Mac mini with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 320GB hard drive and 2GB of RAM. Also there are many upgrades available on Apple Store but the biggest complaint at this moment is – there is not SSD Discs available as an option upgrade.

Would this Mac mini be practical in the tyoical buiness environment where PCs are mostly used?
Obviously it would need Parrelells and Windows 7 Also Office for Word and Outllook. Could use Open Office for everything else.
My interest is to have a cost effective PC that is reliable and comparible to the Dell Optiplex line.
