What we are talking about? As before, for the expectation of new versions of favorite Linux distribution, the Ubuntu community invites all interested parties to create a simple banner that will countdown the days from the Beta to final release of the Jaunty Jackalope.

How banner for previous Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex look like, you can see here. Templates and guidelines for creating a new banner are:

• width: 180px
• height: 150px
• optimized png, gif or jpg, or
• iframe containing interactive content (using static html, css, js and images – no PHP)
• no flash – must work perfectly with only free software
