Windows XP is still first
According to the analysis of Forrester Research, which carries ZDNet, a total of 71% of business users in North America and Europe continue to use Windows XP.
Also, according to survey of the same company, some 15% of users planned to skip Vista entirely and immediately switch to Windows 7 over the year 2010. As Vista is a windows version which is used for test purpose (tech rumor) and easy migration of windows programs to new architecture and coding of Windows 7, maybe switching from XP to Windows 7 is the right move.
Currently Vista drives only 10% of business computers in the U.S. and Europe, which is equal to Windows 2000 that is supposed to stop support at 2005, but is extended to 2010.
Mac OS X is situated on approximately 3% of business PCs, and Linux to 2%.
