Pirated iWork`09 enriched with Trojan virus

Apple iWork ’09 package was downloaded more than 20,000 times and it contains an unexpected guest – Trojan – of course, this is just “pirated” version!

Although the Mac platform is considered less at risk for viruses, worms and other malignant program, the key factor is still the man. Thus, according to the manufacturer’s statement of anti-virus program for Mac – VirusBarrier, it seems that the users of this platform with downloading illegally programs can bring some viruses.

Specially, the specific infected program is Apple package iWork ’09 (Apple office applications) which infected with virus Trojan OSX.Trojan.iServices.A. every downloaded installation on Mac machines.

Infected installation program was downloaded of more than 20,000 people and we should not be surprised that the authors of Trojan targeted a recently published information that iWork ’09 does not require entering a serial number for install. Trojan is usually connects to servers on the Internet without the knowledge of users and allows the user or users of these servers to run programs on infected computer, including downloading and installing the (malicious) software from the Internet.

This Trojan is possible to remove with VirusBarrierom X4 and X5.
