This tip is only for newbie windows users. Uninstalling programs in Windows XP is extremely simple. Almost every installed program in windows XP comes with an “uninstaller” program, which is another small program that knows how to remove all installed files for previously installed program. You can run the the uninstaller from Control Panel (from Start – Control Panel) where uninstaler will remove all traces of a software package from your computer.

To uninstall a program from your Windows XP, follow this process:

  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Click on the Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  4. You will see a list of all the programs installed on your PC. Locate and click on the one you would like to remove.
  5. After you click on the name of the program, “change” and “remove” buttons will appear.
  6. Click remove. The uninstaller routine for that program will begin. Follow all of the directions given by the uninstaller, clicking the Next button to move from step to step.
  7. When “Next” button will change to a “Finish” button – click Finish.
  8. After clicking Finish the uninstallation will be complete.
