How to install the newest Deluge bittorrent client on Ubuntu and Windows
Ubuntu comes with interesting small, light and fast torrent downloader called “transmission”, but it lacks of some advanced functionalities. Azureus (Vuze) has plenty of advanced options and functionalities, works on every operating system with Java support, it is big with more system resources requirement (slower on older machines), classic and modern user interface (UI) many plugins and awards and if you want to give it a try follow this simple one click Ubuntu installation tutorial on DetectorPRO, or check the official page for other operating systems. And there, somewhere in the middle is Deluge – fast, light and enough featured bittorrent client for most regular users.
In fact, Deluge has similar and easy interface like small but powerful uTorrent, and is build as a native linux application, (but also works on other operating systems) with regular updates. Deluge features a rich plugin collection and most of Deluge’s functionality is available in the form of plugins. Also Deluge is light bittorrent client that will not slow down your system when is working (downloading, uploading seeding..).

Thanks for that – the info is really useful, just what I’ve been looking for!
Do you happen to know how to install the web back end to deluge though – either I can’t get it working or it’s an extra plugin?
