FireTorrent add-on enables you to download torrents (.torrent) directly in Firefox. The add-on is in alpha stage and you can download it for testing. It is based on LibTorrent library, a BitTorrent library with a focus on high performance, little CPU and Memory usage.

FireTorrent limits your upload speed to 15 kb/s to preserve browsing ability while downloading. Also, there are no configurable options (Download/upload limits, directories and other advanced settings) they will come in next release). It is useful for downloading small files for example songs, books, some app.. while you are browsing. It is not useful for downloading large files because Firefox crash possibility and the fact that Firefox is using more resources than tiny bittorent clients.
