9.0-Megapixel Camera Module for mobile phones and PDA
Digital Imaging Systems (DIS) presented CMOS sensor – DIS6931- for mobile phones and PDA with resolution of 9 Megapixels.
Now, high quality photo imaging and video capability can be easily integrated into next generation camera-equipped mobile devices such as mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDA), with the new DIS6931. This module is a member of the new family of fully integrated camera modules which support applications which provides DSC-picture quality.
The module provides capturing picture with maximal resolution of 3488×2616 pixels and capturing video with resolution of 720p and 30 FPS. It also provides a complete camera solution comprising a CMOS SOC-camera, an auto-focus lens system (Optics), low current actuators, mechanical shutter, aperture and a flex connector.
Auto-focus needs time of 300 milliseconds to focus objects and time of 200 milliseconds to save picture into memory for moving objects.
The DIS6931 module outputs image data with a standard CCIR601 compatible interface. It simply requires two supply voltages and an external system clock between 10 MHz and 50 MHz; all other system clocks are generated internally.
The presentation of this new generation of camera sensor was on Phorokina fair, the world’s biggest trade fair for the photographic and imaging industries.
