How to set up antispam filter on Gmail
Gmail, the most popular email service of Google has perfect spam filter. The Gmail spam filter catch almost every spam messages and put them in your spam folder. However, sometimes this Gmail spam parser make mistakes and it send some legitimate message to spam folder. These errors are called “false positives”. So, if you delete messages in spam folder without checking it you are risking to delete some important message.
Solution for solving this problem is to remove your legitimate emails from Google spam black list. To do that follow next steps:
- Login to your Gmail account.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Filters tab.
- Choose option – Create a new filter.
- In field “from” add email addresses or web addresses of the emails/messages which you don’t like to go in spam folder.
- Test the filter with clicking on the “Test Search”. If shown list is wrong make changes in emails or addresses (step 5).
- Click on “Next Step” button.
- Check option “Never send it to Spam“.
- Click on “Create Filter” to save and activate this antispam filter.
You can do previous steps as many times as you need – for every email address or group of email addresses which you don’t like to exist in Gmail spam black list.
